Liftlock Bed & Breakfast is a luxurious Peterborough accommodation, located on the water just above the world famous Peterborough liftlocks on the Trent Severn Waterway. Ocean going vessels as well as rowing skiffs from Trent University pass by this quiet serene area.
Totem pole out front, swimming pool, 7 acres of land, water make this nature at its' best and only minutes from downtown Peterborough. Visit our excellent restaurants, stage plays, casino etc. Convenient to Trent University, Sir Sandford Fleming college, all the hockey rinks and golf courses.
Adjacent to Liftlock Bed & Breakfast, there is 66 acres of vacant land belonging to CHEX television. Next to them is a 200-acre wildlife sanctuary belonging to Trent University. This gives us the tranquility you don’t usually get so close to downtown Peterborough.
You can rent a canoe or bring your own boat. Fish for crappies, bass, pickerel, muskie, and carp. Picnic along the shoreline and you are apt to see fox, beaver, muskrat, raccoon, rabbits, weasels, geese, ducks, a crane or maybe a wild deer. Whether you swim in our heated pool or relax in the restful atmosphere, you will enjoy getting away from the bustle of city life.
Rooms:
Waterview Suite - Overlooking the water, this ground floor, keyed, luxurious suite boasts a king bed (or 2 singles), ensuite bath, air-conditioning, kitchen table/4chairs, pullout couch, casual chairs, and cable TV. A ramp leading to the entrance makes this suite wheelchair accessable.
Parkview Suite - Overlooking green belt, this suite boasts a private patio, 5 ft garden door with ground floor keyed entrance. Comfortable queen pillowtop bed, ensuite bath, cable TV, air-conditioning, table/chairs plus cozy living room chairs. A cot is available if needed.
Sweetheart Suite - Located in home, this room has ensuite bath and air-conditioning. You will enjoy your sleep in the comfortable queen size pillowtop bed. The adjacent living room with large cable TV is for your exclusive use.
The solar heated pool, adjacent to the porch is 4 ft. deep; Just the right depth for water games or for the non swimmer.
Because of special zoning, our resident pets include 2 sika deer, a goose and black german shepherd dogs. The animals are kept in a restricted area and the dogs are obedience trained.

Reservations:A credit card number from either Visa, Mastercard or American Express is required at time of booking.
Cancellations: A credit card number is required to confirm each reservation. Any cancellation from time of booking is subject to a $50 administration fee. Cancellation notice must be received 72 hours prior to scheduled arrival date to avoid suite charge. Any reservation cancelled without 72 hours advance notice will be charged for the suite unless the space can be sold.
Restrictions: All suites are non-smoking. Children in pool must be supervised by an adult. Our animals are visited under supervision of innkeeper. Pets are allowed in one suite only, therefore permission is needed to bring them. Pets need to be on lead at all times.
